![]() It begins with the Atmosphere where Diablo 1 way more Grim/Darker than Diablo 2 ever could be, also Gameplaychanges like Skilltree. Compare 1 to 2, its a huge Difference between both as well. People will not understand why i favor Diablo 3, though it changed so much things, however the same applied back than to Diablo 2. I’m since my Childhood an huge Diablo Fan, it was one of my first Game as i entered the Gamingworld(i’m 25 Years old now, so yeah - actually i was way to young for this Game to play) and it kept me addicted. ![]() Diablo 3 i would count as my Favorite or atleast on the same level as Grim Dawn(and guys believe me, even though it sounds for you wrong, i never imaged that any Game could be for me as good as the Diablo Series… not even Titan Quest which counted as a long time the best diablo alternative for me, i never would put it on the same level as Diablo). Torchlight 2 is my third Favorite in the HackNSlay Genre after Diablo 3 and Grim Dawn. That’s quite a shame, because I really liked the art style and game pace. Nevermind the small annoyances like being killed by enemy off the screen and loot quality not improving at all through the game. I firmly believe that hack&slash arpgs are about build & gear variety, but there’s probably 3-4 builds per class that are more or less playable on Elite (and going higher than level 70 on HCE was beyond me even with easy and strong builds like PB e-mage and cheesy stuff like shop rerolling), as for gear the TL2 equivalent of GD’s epics/legendaries generally loses to equivalent of yellow/greens with a +hp affix, socketed with two Riechlu’s/Limoany’s and Borrised to the max. ![]() My impression is that Runic had no idea what diehard ARPG fans yearned for anyway, so whether the game was abandoned or not doesn’t matter. Thanks in advance for your help.A shame that Runic pretty much abandoned it in less than a year or so and left it to the modders to keep the game going… They could’ve at least tried to make an expansion for it, and it’s the only game that I can’t find myself playing without certain mods. ![]() I'll be grateful for any suggestions as to which one of those I should pick for my first run and which build would help me in getting started. Still the idea of having a small army of skeletons or blowing up corpses (if this is possible in PoE) would be nice and I would like to do better with this type of class than I used to in the past so I also consider it as the one to go as a starting one. While playing Diablo 2 I really liked the Necromancer, however, I my friend was way better with him than I ever was. This class reminds me of Amazon from D2 and the fun bow action that I had during that game. As for Saboteur I've seen him with fire traps in action and it look really great, as I realy like to use fire based skills. I like the idea of being an Assassin that can use daggers or knives or some other stuff to take down enemies. Other than that Gladiator class reminds me of one of my favourite movies which is, well, Gladiator. The reason why those classes are interesting to me is because I like 2h weapons and dual wielding. As for Gladiator I haven't seen similar build. I like the premise of both of those classes and there is an interesting build with the skill called Flicker Strike. I'm looking for a good build for beginner and checked out available classes and their ascendancy version so that I could specify which are the most appealing to me. I'm new to this game and I have some experience in Diablo 2 (favourite classes: Paladin, Amazon and Assassin there was also Necromancer, but I wasn't too good with him) and Torchlight 2 (favourite classes: Outlander and Engineer).
